Willie Eaglin

Willie Eaglin lost his vision to glaucoma in the late 1970s and a few years later he began making throw rugs as rehabilitation. He spent most of his time attaching strands of material and braiding them together. He did this for six days a week and on the seventh he sewed them into shapes: "round, oval, and hot dog." Eaglin stated, "The Good Lord gave me the idea."
