Robert Roberg's religiosity led to his art making. His paintings pay homage to Christian tenets with a vengeance. An unimposing, gentle man, Roberg was more often abused by people than listened to when he preached on street corners. But one day he picked chalk and drew a reference to Scripture on the sidewalk to "tell them how to find their way into Yah's Divine Empire." Passersby stopped, looked and listened and paid attention to Roberg's preaching.
