Spiritualism - a religion based on the belief in continuity of life and communication with those who have passed on to the Spirit Plane - was less under suspect than antagonism when anthologists looked at the camp to interpret the environment and describe its practices - everything from church services to séances, to the place's history and architecture - to establish the first comprehensive look at this remarkable community.
